The opening of “The Lixias of Eleni” occurred at a location so central that it altered the appearance of the entry to the village centre. Coffee, candies, and artwork… Its culture’s modern sweetness creates moments worth sharing. Here, you may enjoy the fresh mountain air while sipping your coffee or beverage and savouring traditional “Eleni’s baked sweets” and our other… “lixia.” The delicious mahalepi, rice milk, or ice cream-topped apple pie. The “1842 that jisves to freddo” is located in the village cafe on Farmakas square, adjacent to the church of Agia Irini. 1842 is an important station in the village since it serves brunch made with traditional village ingredients prepared in a gourmet style by the renowned Chef Stavris Georgiou and his team. In 1842, it seems to have been a success from the beginning, as customers may enjoy quality coffee, herbs for tea, local zivania, etc., fresh-tasty cuisine and a view while listening to 80s-90s music by the fireplace during the winter months. Currently, it is open exclusively on weekends, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To dine at 1842, you should make a reservation four to five days in advance. We are eager to serve you with a smile, respect for every individual, and enthusiasm for our work!
